In the heart of Locarno, just a stone’s throw from the Old Town and the city’s vibrant pulse, stands a place where oenogastronomic excellence meets tradition and the art of good living:
La Bottega del Vino.
Inaugurated in 2013, this refined Restaurant, Wine Bar & Guesthouse was born from the idea of Angelo Delea, who wanted to bring new life to a building full of history: the former “Osvaldo Beretta & CO”, once a grocery and paint shop. Today, in those same spaces, completely renovated and tastefully furnished in an original and welcoming way, you can breathe a warm, convivial, and authentic atmosphere.
La Bottega del Vino extends over an area of almost 280 square meters, designed to welcome guests in intimate and well-kept environments, where every detail tells a deep passion for wine, cuisine, and hospitality. It is a place where the pleasure of good wine and good food blend harmoniously, a project that brings together the wine bar, the restaurant, and the guesthouse in one elegant and timeless space.
The true protagonist is wine, both in our furnishings and at the table, with a complete selection of all the labels from the Delea winery: from prestigious red, white, and sparkling wines of Ticino, to a wide range of international wines, including artisanal grappas and vinegars, to taste and purchase directly in the wine bar.
Our cuisine offers a classic and traditional gastronomic concept, with dishes that celebrate both Swiss roots and the influence of the great European culinary schools, particularly the French and Piedmontese. Among the most appreciated specialties are the “Café de Paris” beef entrecôte, Bourguignonne-style snails, foie gras, and the prized Fassona Piemontese meat, featured in tartares and carpaccios, accompanied by seasonal products such as mushrooms and truffles.
To complete the experience, La Bottega del Vino also offers guesthouse services, designed to welcome those who wish to stay a few days in the city, fully immersing themselves in the charm of Locarno and the flavors of a sincere, well-crafted, and history-rich cuisine.
La Bottega del Vino is much more than a restaurant: it is a tribute to craftsmanship, to the territory, and to conviviality, a place where every glass and every dish tell the story of a family that has made wine a mission, and hospitality an art.
